Tiny mood upgrades

This week, I had a really good cup of coffee.

Not fancy-café good. Just sitting-on-my-own-sofa-with-a-coffee good.

I’d just come home from the hospital after a health scare. Thankfully, everything was okay. (Also, I’m surprised by how much of adult life is just… health! But more on that later.)

I made myself a cup and sat down.

I think sometimes, after you’ve been anxious for a while, you notice the ordinary things coming back into your head.

The coffee tastes nicer.
You remember the Korean sheet mask you bought and want to try it.
The arugula leaves in the fridge finally have a chance of making it onto a plate.

And it feels really good to be thinking about such normal things again.

For me, it was the coffee. And later that evening, the arugula salad with the Korean sheet mask on.

Was there something completely ordinary that gave you joy this week? I’d love to know.
